Patient Information
Good oral health relies on three pillars: oral hygiene, a healthy diet and regular dental visits.
Oral Hygiene
Keeping your teeth, molars and gums healthy requires a thorough daily cleaning. This will prevent cavities (caries) and inflamed gums(gingivitis) or even periodontitis.
A healthy diet
Responsible eating and drinking habits are very important for oral health. Our oral health professionals recommend maintaining a set number of eating and drinking occasions of seven per day: three main meals and up to four snacks in between.
Regular dental visits
The periodic checkup by the dentist or dental hygienist detects and treats incipient cavities, tooth erosion and gum disease, and adjusts oral hygiene as needed.
Together we can achieve the best possible results. In doing so, it is important that you:
- Carefully clean your teeth daily
- Follows advice on good oral hygiene
- Regularly visit the dental office for preventive checkups, providing all relevant information about your health
Want to know more about treatment?
If too much of the tooth has been lost, we can often rebuild it with a crown or inlay.
An implant is an artificial root that is screwed into the jawbone and can be inserted to replace one or more teeth.
With veneers, we can fill gaps between teeth, repair chipped corners, whiten discolored teeth and hide frayed teeth.
Root tip treatment (apex resection) is performed when root canal treatment is not (or no longer) sufficient.
